The decor is very stylish and has a very cool atmosphere. Excellent food, beautifully presented and delicious. The service is incredible, very friendly and attentive. Their pizzas are super thin and light. Very tasty as well. Their special pizza (Aurora – eggplant mozzarella and tomato) is fantastic. Fish (sea bass, swordfish) is so fresh and incredibly good. I highly recommend their Carpaccio, which is amazing as well. Fettuccine with clams and zucchini is absolutely remarkable. Well appointed wine menu and decently priced (by Capri standards). Their desserts are wonderful and well presented, no matter what you choose. It may be hard to get a table without a dinner reservation, due to their popularity. You should book at least a week in advance. It is a bit pricey, but a definite must for anyone that is visiting Capri.

Phone: 39 081 837 0181
Address: Via Fuorlovado, 18-22, 80073 Capri NA, Italy
Monday thru Sunday 12:00 – 3:00 pm, 7:00 pm – 12:00 am

Villa Verde

A five minute walk from Gardens of Augustus.

It is a big restaurant, with a nice warm atmosphere. Extensive menu and great wine list too. The sommelier’s advice is helpful and informative. Terrific waiters and service add to the experience. They speak good English and enjoy a small chat. For starters, I recommend braciola with arugula salad and slices of Parmesan cheese. Fresh burrata cheese, with tiny asparagus spears. Other highlights include salted-crusted sea bass and amberjack (a local fish). Fish and seafood is on ice display as you walk in. Pizza is very good. Delicious truffle pasta. Every pasta dish is available with gluten-free pasta. It can be a bit crowded at times, best to book in advance. A little off the beaten path. However, well worth the effort to find it. The prices are a bit higher than other places on the island. However, with the high quality fresh food and the fact you are in Capri, explains the prices.

Isidoro Restaurant Capri

A ten minute walk from Gardens of Augustus.

There are some wonderful sounding salads on the menu. They have pizza with many different toppings to go with it. They also have great pasta and seafood. Pasta is cooked to perfection. Go for spaghetti with mussels, which is divine. Risotto with shrimp is expertly prepared and enormous. Grilled swordfish is fresh as can be, and delightful. The quality and quantity of the food is very good. The waiters are nice, helpful and welcoming. The prices are average for Capri. Grab one of the tables on the rooftop terrace if you can.

Phone: 39 08 8377252
Address: Via Roma, 19, 80073 Capri, Island of Capri, Italy

Ristorante Donna Rachele

A six minute walk from Gardens of Augustus

Ristorante Donna Rachele is charming, and well decorated. The menu is not very big, but it has a nice range. Everything is fresh, homemade and authentic. Each dish is simply cooked well, (Red snapper, home made pasta, pizza, etc) and tastes terrific while using as many local ingredients as possible. They also have two tables available for couples, on the balcony. Very romantic. The service is excellent. Staff is warm, and inviting. It is a cozy little place (tables are quite close), with a typical Italian atmosphere. There are many family photos covering the walls, but the picture of the Salvatore (owner) sunbathing on the rocks adorning the bottles of house wine is a fan favorite. The menu has a terrific selection of pizzas, pasta, fish amongst other wonderful things. Waiters are pleasant and professional. Friendly owner makes you feel you are among friends. A wonderful experience and pricing is reasonable (by Capri standards).

Phone: 39 081 837 5620
Address: Via Madre Serafina, 5, 80073 Capri, Italy
Monday thru Sunday 12:00 – 2:00 pm, 7:00 – 11:00 pm

Michel’angelo

A six minute walk from Gardens of Augustus.

Michel’angelo is a very warm and inviting restaurant, situated close to the center of town. They have a wonderful selection of flavors to choose from. Pistachio and stracciatella are both superb. Other fan favorites nocciola, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. They also make delicious cookies that come in assorted flavors (pistachio, hazelnut, lemon) that should not be missed. Terrific place to have an after dinner dessert.
