Hotel Continental Sorrento<\/strong><\/p>\n Hotel Continental Sorrento is ideally located near the Piazza Tasso Sorrento, in a quiet area at the end a a small park. It\u00a0is walking distance to the shops, restaurants and\u00a0the nearby marina. The hotel elevator will take you to the beach level, from which you can walk to the port for ferries to Naples, Capri, etc.<\/p>\n From the moment you arrive to check in, the staff are simply superb.\u00a0Starting with the owners, to the dining room, bar and front desk. They\u00a0make sure your vacation is a memorable one. They are courteous and helpful (and speak English)\u00a0with directions and recommendations.<\/p>\n Hotel Continental Sorrento<\/strong> is a\u00a04 star hotel that features eighty rooms.\u00a0Rooms are a nice size and in terrific condition.\u00a0Very comfortable and\u00a0well appointed.\u00a0All rooms feature a satellite TV, air conditioning, a safe, and a minibar. Excellent free Wi-Fi too.\u00a0Rooms have a balcony that either overlook the pool, garden or the bay.\u00a0The bathroom has a combined bath and shower. Spotless and also well appointed, and filled with complimentary toiletries.<\/p>\n The hotel restaurant (La Terrazza) is excellent. The food is scrumptious and the prices are comparable to those of other restaurants in Sorrento.\u00a0The buffet breakfast is spot on too, with plenty to chose from. The buffet table takes up the entire room with fresh fruit, eggs, croissants, just so much to mention.<\/p>\n Make sure to attend at least one happy hour at the hotel bar (Caruso). Set\u00a0on the terrace with the view over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. They serve\u00a0free appetizers, along with\u00a0wonderful cocktails, including the award winning “Giampa” that was created by the wonderful bartender Giovanni.<\/p>\n The pool is divine to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. The\u00a0pool area is lovely and immaculately maintained.\u00a0Tons of sun loungers and chairs all around the swimming pool, and a newly built jacuzzi.\u00a0There is also a wonderful poolside cafe (Blue Restaurant) that offers cold drinks and a light lunch.<\/p>\n The hotel has it’s own stretch of beach (Leonelli’s Beach). Loungers (sunbeds) are available, for an additional fee.<\/p>\n Hotel Continental Sorrento\u00a0is in close proximity to the local school. Kids gathering on the square from about 8:00 in the morning.
