It&#8217;s also nice to leave the hustle and bustle behind in Amalfi and get some peace and quiet at night.\u00a0You have the option of taking the steps (around 700) down to Amalfi center. It&#8217;s about a twenty minute walk with all the breathtaking views on your way there.\u00a0An alternative would be to take the local bus (from Pogerola up the hill).\u00a0Your best option is to take the easy walk down and then take the bus back up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Palme Hotel Amalfi<\/strong>\u00a0is a family owned hotel that is absolutely amazing.\u00a0It is about 300 steps down from the road above. It does have a very slow moving elevator to assist you with your luggage.\u00a0When arriving at the hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome. The family and their staff are absolutely accommodating and professional. They are very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer your questions.<\/p>\n<p>Le Palme Hotel Amalfi\u00a0is artfully done. Communal areas are absolutely beautiful. The artwork, colors, furniture was obviously chosen with great care. They\u00a0feature eight very clean and modern rooms. Rooms are bit small, but hey this is Italy. They come with a flat-screen TV. Air conditioning, minibar.\u00a0They also have a suite located in a seperate building. It is situated right near the pool area. \u00a0The suite features beautiful ceilings with chestnut wood beams, and gorgeous tiled floors. Bathroom have a jetted bathtub, a hair dryer and complimentary toiletries. Rooms are cleaned and towels were changed every day.\u00a0Free\u00a0Wi-Fi is available in common areas only.<\/p>\n<p>The breakfast is continental style and prepared fresh every day. Fresh danishes, cakes, toast, fruits, cereals, etc. Excellent coffee and fresh squeezed juice. It is served on a lovely terrace, surrounded by colorful flowers and tree with and a fabulous sea view.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Le Palme Hotel Amalfi\u00a0provides the perfect opportunity to rest by the pool with the most perfect views. Plenty of sun loungers and places to relax.<\/p>\n<p>Le Palme Hotel Amalfi\u00a0doesn&#8217;t have a restaurant on the premises. However, they have one in Atrani that is well worth a visit. They offer a free ride (ten minute drive) there and back again afterwards.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">Don&#8217;t let the potential difficulty of the many steps put you off. After making your first trip up the steps, it gets easier. The walk down to Amalfi each day is full of lemon groves, nature, and of course the fabulous views.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It could be a problem if you have any sort of mobility issue. As I mentioned before, there are a very large amount of stairs.<\/p>\n<p>The easiest way to reach Le Palme Amalfi is to take the Pogerola bus from Amalfi and get off at the Excelsior Grand Hotel Amalfi stop.
