It is right in the heart of town where all the shops and restaurants are.\u00a0It is just a few steps from the beach and also central to the pier. Very convenient if you plan to take a boat ride to the other Amalfi Coast stops; Capri, Amalfi, etc.\u00a0Remember, Positano is in a mountain. So keep in mind when booking this hotel. It’s a long walk up a vertical climb,\u00a0which consists of cobble stone and steps.\u00a0Even getting to the main road that is half way up is a workout. Be advised, the hotel is situated in the pedestrian only part of Positano. You either need to be prepared to call for a porter, or carry the bags down many stairs and then to the lobby.<\/p>\n Hotel Buca di Bacco Positano<\/strong> is full of great history, but is totally up to date and lovely. The decor is done in traditional Italian style and with many antique furnishings.\u00a0It features forty-seven bedrooms. Most of them offer a sea view.\u00a0Each room is beautifully furnished. Decorated with classic Vietri hand painted floor tiles and marble finished bathrooms.\u00a0All rooms come with Satellite TV, safe box and Wi-Fi.\u00a0Free toiletries that are high quality. From the shampoo, to the body lotion and they also provide you with sun block that smells like fresh grapes.<\/p>\n The front desk staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable\u00a0of the area. Always ready with restaurant suggestions and things to see.\u00a0The room service and housekeeping are very efficient as the cleanliness is evident throughout the hotel.<\/p>\n The views while eating breakfast on the patio are priceless. They prepare\u00a0a large selection of items and everything is delicious. It includes cereal, cakes, rolls, continental style meats and cheese. Eggs, bacon and sausage for hot breakfast.\u00a0American coffee, or Cappuccino\/Espresso. A choice of tea-served with the pot. They also have a fresh orange juice machine loaded with fresh oranges.\u00a0If you don’t want to leave your room, they will put together a lovely spread from the breakfast that day and bring it to your room.<\/p>\n The cooking class offered by the hotel is well worth it, and a lot of fun.<\/p>\n The restaurant (Buca di Bacco) on site is exceptional. The food is amazingly delicious.
