Rail and bus stations, restaurants, shops, museums are a just short distance.\u00a0It is an easy walk (10 to 15 minutes) to Piazza Tasso Sorrento\u00a0in the center of town.\u00a0The train station is about ten minute walk where you can catch a train to visit Postiano, Amalfi, etc. The bus station is also nearby. You can take the bus that goes around the coast. Be advised, go early in the morning before the lines get too long.<\/p>\n<p>Grand Hotel De La Ville Sorrento\u00a0has an old world charm. Nicely decorated, well appointed rooms.\u00a0They are clean and spacious, and the views from the balcony are breathtaking.\u00a0The staff is fantastic and make sure you have everything you need. Professional, but courteous service. Their attention to detail is extraordinary,\u00a0and their English is spot on.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel restaurant food is excellent, as is the service.\u00a0The breakfast buffet is awesome. With a\u00a0wide selection of pastries, fresh fruit, juice, and cereal. Hot items that include; bacon, potatoes, and beans. Cooked-to-order eggs is also available. Coffee and tea is served by professional\u00a0and polite\u00a0staff in a pretty courtyard garden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grand Hotel De La Ville Sorrento<\/strong> has two pools. The main pool is enclosed in a shady courtyard. The pool on the roof terrace is slightly on the small side, yet the view is amazing.<\/p>\n<p>There is a walk-through lemon grove nearby, where you can sample the local limoncello.<\/p>\n<p>This hotel has a sister hotel named Grand Hotel Royal Sorrento. It is just a few minutes down the road. As a guest of the Grand Hotel De La Ville Sorrento you are allowed to use their facilities. You can enjoy a lovely afternoon down by the water at their private terrace.
