Grand Hotel Royal Sorrento<\/strong><\/p>\n Grand Hotel Royal Sorrento is situated on the cliff, amid beautiful gardens with\u00a0panoramic view across the Bay\u00a0of Naples and over to Mount Vesuvius.<\/p>\n It is bout a ten minute leisurely stroll from the main square, Piazza Tasso Sorrento. It is within walking distance (five minutes) to the marina and the bus\/train station. Go straight through the park opposite the hotel and you will end up on the adjoining boulevard. You will find it very convenient if you are planning to go visit Amalfi, Positano, or Pompeii.<\/p>\n Grand Hotel Royal Sorrento<\/strong> is an excellent hotel that lives up to expectations. Great architecture and spacious.\u00a0The grounds are beautifully maintained. The communal areas are extremely clean\u00a0and stylishly furnished.\u00a0The dining room is brilliant, with views overlooking the beautiful gardens and onward to Bay of Naples.\u00a0Front desk staff is real friendly. They are\u00a0consistently helpful with any questions or requests. Always willing to help with transport, and go out of there way to make you welcome whatever time of day.\u00a0Service is from housekeeping, waitstaff in the restaurant and bar is also top notch.<\/p>\n Rooms are clean and well appointed. They are furnished in a classical style. Flat screen TV,\u00a0Free Wi-Fi connection in all the rooms and in the common areas.\u00a0Standard double rooms have a balcony\/small terrace and located on the back side of the hotel.\u00a0Classic double rooms have a balcony overlooking the orange and lemon trees. Superior double rooms offer a partial view of the sea.<\/p>\n The breakfast room overlooks the gardens and the pool with glimpses of the sea beyond.\u00a0Good selection of high quality food.\u00a0Smoked salmon. Italian ham and cheeses. Assorted breads. Yogurt, and cereal. Plenty of fresh fruit and fruit salad. A vast array of Italian pastries. Also the chef will prepare eggs\/omelettes.\u00a0Definitely\u00a0a terrific start to the day.<\/p>\n In the evening, the bar is the main focal point in the hotel. Most of the time there is a pianist to entertain the guests.<\/p>\n To get down to the hotels private beach, you have to use the lift. The lift\u00a0goes right down through the cliff to their seaside patio. You can swim off some steps down to the water. You can soak in the sun on their private\u00a0sundeck with loungers (sunbeds)\u00a0.\u00a0There is a bar down there that serves drinks and light snacks.<\/p>\n There’s an outdoor swimming pool with plenty of loungers (sunbeds) with umbrellas.
