Grand Hotel Aminta Sorrento<\/strong><\/p>\n

Overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, the Grand Hotel Aminta Sorrento is perfectly positioned on the hillside above Sorrento.<\/p>\n

Whilst not in the best location for walking into town. There is a path that leads in to the center.\u00a0It is a lovely walk (around twenty minutes). However, it’s quite steep on they way back up to the hotel. Not really suitable for elders or young children.\u00a0I would recommend the shuttle bus (around a ten minute ride). Grand Hotel Aminta Sorrento offers a complementary shuttle bus to the center of town and back.\u00a0It runs every hour,\u00a0apart from between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.\u00a0The driver is wonderful and incredibly entertaining.\u00a0The bus stop is a short walk from the main square, Piazza Tasso. The last one back to the hotel is 11:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Grand Hotel Aminta Sorrento<\/strong>\u00a0is a relatively small, quiet hotel. It\u00a0is luxurious,\u00a0and has traditional Italian characteristics.\u00a0The communal areas inside and around the garden terraces are all well maintained and spotlessly clean.<\/p>\n

Rooms are modern and\u00a0well equipped. They come with air conditioning, mini-bar, and a small safety deposit box. TV with satellite channels. Free Wi-Fi. Rooms are cleaned daily with regular laundry change. They have several rooms to choose from. The basic rooms are quite small and without an ocean view. The double rooms overlook the beautiful garden. Suites come with the Jacuzzi bath, and view of the bay of Naples.<\/p>\n

The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive.\u00a0They go out if their way to accommodate you. They are so professional and helpful.\u00a0They provide guests with ferry, train and bus timetables to local attractions such as the ruins of Pompeii, Capri, and Positano.<\/p>\n

The breakfast is continental. With a vast selection of pastries, cereals, and \u00a0fresh fruit. Lots of fresh breads, croissants, biscuits, etc. There are additional items available to order.\u00a0They also offer nice selection of gluten free bread and cereals.<\/p>\n

The pool area is immaculate. A\u00a0spectacular outdoor seating area where you can have lunch or just relax\u00a0and soak in the views.\u00a0Loungers (sunbed) are provided. However, many get reserved (4 Euros) so be advised of that if you want to sunbathe.<\/p>\n

Grand Hotel Aminta Sorrento has\u00a0a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Ristorante Daphne serves delicious local cuisine. Wait staff very helpful and friendly. They promptly serve you and are faultless.<\/p>\n

Be advised when you are booking a room at Grand Hotel Aminta Sorrento, they also have an annex building. Which is slightly cheaper than staying in the main building.\u00a0It’s just a very short walk to the main hotel, through lovely gardens.<\/p>\n

Room Tip: If it’s in your budget, I recommend a pool view room facing the Bay of Naples.[\/tab]<\/p>\n
