A trip to the Hotel Salus Terme Spa, Viterbo<\/strong>, near Rome, Italy\u00a0is a great way to relax when you are done with Rome, heading up to the north, for example towards Florence, your feet are killing you and you need a break from your vacation!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Hotel Salus Terme\u00a0is located \u00a0an hour out of Rome near the city of Viterbo you can find natural thermal baths. I stayed overnight at the Hotel Salus Terme, a 4 star hotel close to the city. The rooms are very clean, the quality of the towels and bathrobes are good and give you that \u201ccomfortable\u201d feeling.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My room had a balcony facing a big green garden full of tree\u2019s that surround the hotel. The staff at the Hotel Salus is extremely friendly and helpful with all your needs. One minus point I think that you have to get your bathrobe and slippers near the Spa and take it up to your room yourself. I would have preferred to find the kit directly in my room. They also expect you to bring it back. The Thermal area is quite big and there are many \u201crelaxation\u201d rooms. You can treat yourself to tea and water at no extra charge. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Hotel Salus Spa also offers various beauty treatments. The treatment rooms are big considering Italian standards. In the evening I had dinner in the hotel\u2019s restaurant. Sparkling and still water is served in closed bottles and the selection of drinks they offer isn\u2019t bad. My dinner was served warm instead of hot and the taste of the food was not fresh. To give you an idea of the price: veil with porcino mushrooms euro 14.00. I would recommend \u00a0eating outside of the hotel because you can find many typical restaurants which offer fresh foods of the region and their clients are locals and not tourists. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of course you might be too tired after your Spa day to take your car and drive around\u2026Breakfast therefore is great, a wide choice of Italian bakery, bread, croissant, yogurt, ham and cheese are on the buffet. If you order cappuccino the waiter will get it straight from the \u201cbar\u201d \u2013 not to be mistaken with the US form of bar where you go and have your drinks, but meaning \u201ccaf\u00e9\u2019\u201d which have special machines to make that delicious tasting espresso. The coffee or espresso comes from a self-service machine which obviously you have to get yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>[\/tab]<\/p>\n

\nHow to get to the Hotel Salus\u00a0Terme: You can either go the fast way by talking highway A1 from Rome, exit ORTE and then go to Viterbo or else \u2013 what I would recommend because the sightseeing is stunning \u2013 take the road SS2 Bis\u00a0 Cassia Veientana until you reach Viterbo. You\u2019ll pass by some small villages and you\u2019ll have the chance to drive through the romantic countryside.<\/p>\n
